Legacy of Dr H N Roy
Born in 1927 in Mansoorpur, Sarai, Bihar, Dr H N Roy studied at L S College, Muzaffarpur, and completed his MBBS at Patna Medical College and Hospital in 1957. His medical career later took him to England and the Republic of South Africa before and after he established Dr H N Roy Mental Clinic in Hajipur in 1975.
He was a physician, recognised Indian freedom fighter, writer, musician, and devoted family man. Dr H N Roy passed away on 12 June 2012. The purpose of drhnroy.org is to preserve this legacy through public education—helping families understand mental health concerns, reduce stigma, and take timely steps toward qualified professional care.

Completed DPM in England during his second visit.
Started private practice in Mansoorpur, Sarai.
Joined the National Health Service on the Isle of Wight, England.
Returned to India and established his practice in Hajipur, Vaishali.
Joined Komani Hospital in the Republic of South Africa as Principal Medical Officer.
Returned to India and resumed private practice.
Continued caring for patients until his passing on 12 June.
